Carcinoom-geassocieerde fibroblasten (cafe's), rijk aan myofibroblasten aanwezig in de tumor stroma, spelen een belangrijke rol in het besturen van tumorprogressie. We ontwikkelden een coimplantation tumor xengraft model voor het genereren van experimenteel CAFS uit humane fibroblasten borstklieren. Het protocol beschrijft hoe om vast te stellen CAF myofibroblasten dat het vermogen om tumorgenese bevorderen verwerven.
