Abstract

Introduction

慢性呼吸器疾患は世界第3位の死因であり、慢性呼吸器疾患によるCOPDは死因の第1位であり、個人と社会の双方に大きな負担をかけています1。中国はCOPD患者数が約9,900万人と世界で最も多く、有病率は8.6%です2。便秘はCOPD患者によくみられる合併症であり、高レベルのポリファーマシーと関連している3。COPD患者の39%以上が便秘を経験しているというエビデンスがあり、便秘は呼吸困難の重症度、増悪のタイミング、およびCOPDの合併症と正の相関があった4。便秘は慢性閉塞性肺疾患(AECOPD)の急性増悪と関連していることが強く疑われています。AECOPDはCOPD患者の疾患進行を加速させ、COPD患者の死因の第一位となっています5。したがって、COPD患者の便秘の治療に注意を払う時が来ました。
