NVP의 정확한 원인은 현대 생물 의학에서 잘 알려져 있지 않지만, 임신 중 인간 융모성 성선 자극 호르몬의 혈청 수치 변화 및 특정 비타민의 결핍과 같은 요인과 관련이 있는 것으로 여겨진다3. 현재 NVP의 치료법에는 공복, 수액 주입, 전해질 불균형 교정 등이 포함되지만, 이러한 접근법 중 어느 것도 신뢰할 수 있는 것으로 간주되지 않는다4. 결과적으로, 배아나 태아의 발달에 영향을 미치지 않는 효과적인 치료법을 찾는 것은 중요한 임상적 과제입니다.
