Laser microdissection har tillämpats för att analysera profilering av genuttryck i specifika fack Drosophila vingen skiva utsätts för lokaliserad RNAi<em> In vivo</em>. RNA extraheras från motsvarande områden tystas och unsilenced fack analyserades med kvantitativ RT-PCR för att bestämma jämförande profilering av genuttryck i samband med infödda vävnad microecology.
