Vi beskriver ett protokoll som gör att avbildning av mitokondrierna i levande nervceller via fluorescensmikroskopi långa löptider. Imaging under längre perioder sker genom lentivirus-medierade uttryck för en mitochondrially riktade fluorescerande proteinet och användningen av ett billigt steg-topp inkubator som designades och byggdes i vårt laboratorium.
