Een<em> In vitro</em> Model voor cerebrale malaria opslag wordt beschreven<sup> 1</sup>.<em> Plasmodium falciparum</em> Geïnfecteerde rode bloedcellen zijn geselecteerd voor de binding aan vereeuwigd menselijk brein microvasculaire endotheelcellen. De geselecteerde parasieten tonen een duidelijke fenotype. Het selectieproces kan worden toegepast met behulp van diverse<em> P. falciparum</em> Stammen en endotheelcellen lijnen.
