En metode til foto-indkapsling af celler i en krydsbundet PEG hydrogel er beskrevet. Hypoxisk signalering inden indkapslet murine insulinom (MIN6) aggregater er sporet ved hjælp af et fluorescerende markør system. Dette system giver mulighed for seriel undersøgelse af celler i en hydrogel stillads og korrelation på hypoksisk signalering med ændringer i celle fænotype.
