Tandem Affinity Purification is een robuuste aanpak voor de identificatie van eiwitbinding partners. Als proof of concept, werd deze methode toegepast op de goed gekarakteriseerde translatie initiatie factor eIF4E van co-neerslag de gastheercel factoren die betrokken zijn in de vertaling initiatie. Deze methode kan gemakkelijk worden aangepast aan een cellulair of viraal eiwit.
