We beschrijven twee methoden voor voorwaardelijke<em> Trans</em>-Complementatie van het hepatitis C virus (HCV) montage en de voltooiing van de volledige virale levenscyclus, die afhankelijk zijn van heterokaryon formatie. Deze technieken zijn geschikt voor het screenen op cellijnen dat de dominante beperking factoren, die de productie van besmettelijke HCV nakomelingen weg te drukken.
