Vi beskriver den hurtige isolering af primære murine type II alveolære epitelceller (AECII) ved flowcytometrisk negativ selektion. Disse AECII viser høj levedygtighed og renhed og er egnede til en lang række funktionelle og molekylære undersøgelser af deres rolle i respiratoriske tilstande, såsom autoimmune eller infektiøse sygdomme.
