Eiwitcomplexen katalyseren belangrijke cellulaire functies. Gedetailleerde functionele en structurele karakterisering van vele essentiële complexen vereist recombinante productie. MultiBac is een baculovirus / insectencelsysteem vooral afgestemd voor het uitdrukken van eukaryote eiwitten en hun complexen. MultiBac werd geïmplementeerd als een open-access platform en standaard operationele procedures ontwikkeld om het nut te maximaliseren.
