Vi rapporterer om teknikker til at micropattern nanoporøse guld tynd film via stencil trykning og fotolitografi, samt metoder til kultur celler på microfabricated mønstre. Herudover beskriver vi billed analysemetoder at karakterisere morfologi af materialet og de dyrkede celler ved hjælp af scanning elektron og fluorescensmikroskopi teknikker.
