Wij rapporteren hier de robuuste en efficiënte expressie van fluorescerende eiwitten na mRNA injectie in onbevruchte eicellen van Branchiostoma lanceolatum. De ontwikkeling van de micro-injectie techniek in deze basale chordate zal de weg voor vergaande technische innovaties in deze opkomende model systeem, met inbegrip van in vivo beeldvorming en gen-specifieke manipulaties effenen.
