Vi beskriver en metod för stabil märkning av patientgenererade xenotransplantat (PDXs) med lentivirala partiklar som uttrycker grönt fluorescerande protein och luciferas reportrar. Denna metod gör det möjligt att spåra tillväxten av PDXs vid den primära platsen, liksom att upptäcka spontana och experimentella metastaser med hjälp av in vivo imaging system.
