Dette manuskript beskriver en eksperimentel tilgang til morfologisk og biokemisk karakterisering af hesteocyter. Specifikt illustrerer det foreliggende arbejde, hvordan man opsamler umodne og modne hesteocyter ved hjælp af ultralydstyret ægoptagelse (OPU) og hvordan man undersøger kromosomsegregation, spindelmorfologi, global histonacetylering og mRNA-ekspression.
