Denne protokol beskriver brugen af sump svaberprøver og slam analyse af zebrafisk systemer, hvilket fører til øget påvisning i forhold til den eneste brug af sentinels at opdage patogener som Aeromonas hydrophila, Mycobacterium spp. og Pseudocapillaria tomentosa. Det foreslås også et system til at overvåge P. tomentosa æggene i karantæne.
