Dit protocol beschrijft het gebruik van sump swabs en slib analyse van zebravis systemen, die tot verhoogde detectie in vergelijking met het exclusieve gebruik van sentinels leidt te detecteren ziekteverwekkers zoals Aeromonas hydrophila, Mycobacterium spp. en Pseudocapillaria tomentosa. Een systeem om te controleren van P. tomentosa eieren in quarantaine wordt ook voorgesteld.
