Epigenetic mekanismer endres ofte i glioma. Chromatin immunoprecipitation kan brukes til å studere konsekvensene av genetiske endringer i glioma som skyldes endringer i histone modifikasjoner som regulerer chromatin struktur og gene transkripsjon.
