Her præsenterer vi en protokol for at kirurgisk oprette intestinal sammenskrevne sløjfer i kylling små tarme. Denne procedure giver mulighed for sammenligning af flere Clostridium perfringens stammer virulens i situ i en enkelt vært. Denne metode reducerer markant antallet af kyllinger normalt nødvendigt for lignende i vivo eksperimenter.
