Acute inbeslagneming modellen zijn belangrijk voor de studie van de mechanismen die ten grondslag liggen aan de epileptiform gebeurtenissen. Bovendien biedt de mogelijkheid om het genereren van epileptiform evenementen op afroep een zeer efficiënte methode om te bestuderen van de exacte volgorde van de gebeurtenissen ten grondslag liggen aan hun inleiding. Hier beschrijven we de acute 4-aminopyridine corticale inbeslagneming modellen gevestigd in muis en menselijk weefsel.
