ICP0 ondergaat nucleaire-naar-cytoplasmatische translocatie tijdens HSV-1 infectie. Het moleculaire mechanisme van deze gebeurtenis is niet bekend. Hier beschrijven we het gebruik van de confocal microscoop als een hulpmiddel om te kwantificeren ICP0 beweging in HSV-1 infectie, die de basis legt voor het kwantitatief ICP0 translocatie in toekomstige mechanistische studies te analyseren.
