Osteoklasten sind gewebespezifische Makrophage-Polykaryonen, die aus der monozytenmakrophären Linie hämatopoietischer Stammzellen abgeleitet werden. In diesem Protokoll wird beschrieben, wie Knochenmarkzellen isoliert werden können, so dass große Mengen an Osteoklasten gewonnen werden, während gleichzeitig das Unfallrisiko in traditionellen Methoden reduziert wird.
