Vi præsenterer her, en protokol for forberedelse af to forskellige former for kultur substrater udnytte type I-kollagen. Afhængigt af hvordan håndteres kollagen, kollagen molekyler enten opretholde todimensional, ikke-fiberholdigt form eller samle ind i tre-dimensionelle, fibril form. Type I-celledelingen på kollagen påvirkes kraftigt af fibril formation.
