Presenteras här är ett protokoll för spontan generering av neurospheres berikas i neurala stamceller från högdensitetspläterade neuroner. Under samma experiment, när nervceller är klädd i en lägre densitet, protokollet resulterar också i långvariga primära råtta neuron kulturer.
