والهدف من هذه الطريقة هو توليد نموذج في الجسم الحي من تكوين الأوعية الدموية الورم عن طريق xenografting الخلايا السرطانية الثدييات في جنين حمار وحشي الذي لديه الأوعية الدموية ذات العلامات الفلورية. من خلال تصوير xenograft والأوعية المرتبطة بها، يمكن الحصول على قياس كمي للاستجابة الوعائية.
