Oncologisch veilige linker pancreatectomie vereist radicale resectie (R0), Gerota's (perirenal) fascia resectie, en adequate lymfeklier dissectie. Deze studie beschrijft de technische details van laparoscopische radicale linker pancreatectomie (LRLP), gebruikt in de eerste internationale multicenter gerandomiseerde studie vergelijken minimaal invasief met open linker pancreatectomie voor alvleesklierkanker, de DIPLOMA-studie.
