Detta protokoll beskriver metod, material, utrustning och steg för nedifrån och upp-beredning av RNA och proteinproducerande syntetiska celler. Det inre vattenrummet i de syntetiska cellerna innehöll S30 bakteriella lysate inkapslade i en lipid bilayer (dvs. stabila liposomer), med hjälp av en vatten-i-olja emulsion överföringsmetod.
