En protokol til at udføre afstamning sporing og funktionel genetisk analyse af kandidat gener på et enkelt celleniveau ved hjælp af mosaik analyse med dobbelt markører (MADM) præsenteres. MADM klonale analyse giver en kvantitativ ramme til at måle proliferativ adfærd, cellulære output, og afstamning forholdet mellem de enkelte stamceller og deres datter celler.
