Vi etablerade villkoren för att odla neurala stamceller från subventricular zonen och dentate gyrus av den vuxna hjärnan av präriesorkar, som en kompletterande in vitro-studie, att analysera de könsberoende skillnaderna mellan neurogena nischer som skulle kunna vara en del av funktionella plast förändringar i samband med sociala beteenden.
