Ett protokoll för syntetisering av guldnanopartiklar med ~12 nm diameter (Au nanopartiklar) i ett organiskt lösningsmedel presenteras. Guldnanopartiklarna är täckta med oleylaminligands för att förhindra agglomeration. Guldnanopartiklarna är lösliga i organiska lösningsmedel som toluen.
