لقد طورنا بروتوكولا بسيطا وغير مكلف لتحميل مجمعات البروتين الريبي النووي الريبي Cas9 / RNA أحادي التوجيه (sgRNA) داخل جزيئات تشبه الفيروسات. تسمح هذه الجسيمات ، التي تسمى "Nanoblades" ، بالتسليم الفعال لمركب Cas9 / sgRNA في الخلايا الخالدة والأولية وكذلك في الجسم الحي.
