Denne rapporten beskriver teknikker for å isolere og rense sulfaterte glykosaminoglykaner (GAG) fra biologiske prøver og en polyakrylamidgelelektroforese tilnærming til omtrentlig størrelse. GAG bidrar til vevsstruktur og påvirker signalprosesser via elektrostatisk interaksjon med proteiner. GAG polymer lengde bidrar til deres bindende affinitet for cognate ligander.
