Denne metodeartikel præsenterer en softwareassisteret kvantitativ måleprotokol til kvantificering af histologisk subchondral knogletykkelse i murine osteoarthritiske knæled og normale knæled som kontroller. Denne protokol er meget følsom over for subtil fortykning og er velegnet til at detektere tidlige slidgigt subkondrale knogleændringer.
