Een muismodel van ernstige acute pancreatitis wordt hierin beschreven. De hier gepresenteerde procedure is zeer snel, eenvoudig en toegankelijk, waardoor de studie van de moleculaire mechanismen en verschillende therapeutische interventies bij acute pancreatitis op een handige manier mogelijk is.
