Detta protokoll beskriver en metod för att etablera en human blod-hjärnbarriär (BBB) in vitro-modell . Endotelcellerna och pericyterna är sådda på varje sida av ett insatsfilter (blodfack) och astrocyter sås i bottenbrunnen (hjärnfacket). Den karakteriserade modellen användes för nanopartiklar transportexperiment.
