O fechamento de um forame oval patente (FOP) é uma intervenção baseada em cateter para prevenir acidente vascular cerebral associado ao FOP. O dispositivo de oclusão do FOP é avançado através da veia femoral e implantado através do septo interatrial usando ecocardiografia transesofágica (ETE) e orientação fluoroscópica. O protocolo a seguir fornece um guia passo a passo para a intervenção de fechamento do FOP usando um dispositivo de disco duplo.
