OCTOPUS olarak adlandırılan çok fazlı bir değişim ile uygulanan bir kolye damlası yüzey film dengesi, orijinal toplu çözeltinin simüle edilmiş gastrointestinal sıvılarla sıralı alt faz değişimi ile sindirim koşullarının taklit edilmesine izin verir. Simüle edilen in vitro sindirim, sindirilen ara yüz tabakasının ara yüz gerginliği in situ olarak kaydedilerek izlenir.
