यह लेख अर्ध-स्वचालित इमेजिंग प्रक्रिया का उपयोग करके बेंटिक नदी मैक्रोअकशेरुकी के अनुरूप डिजिटल वस्तुओं को स्कैन करने, पता लगाने, सॉर्ट करने और पहचानने के लिए एक अनुकूलित प्रोटोकॉल के निर्माण पर आधारित है। यह प्रक्रिया लगभग 1 घंटे में मैक्रोअकशेरुकी समुदाय के व्यक्तिगत आकार वितरण और आकार मैट्रिक्स के अधिग्रहण की अनुमति देती है।
