En modell som efterliknar det kliniska scenariot för brännskador och infektion är nödvändig för att främja brännskadeforskning. Det nuvarande protokollet visar en enkel och reproducerbar råttbränningsinfektionsmodell jämförbar med den hos människor. Detta underlättar studien av brännskador och infektioner efter brännskada för att utveckla nya aktuella antibiotikabehandlingar.
