في هذه الدراسة ، تم تقديم نموذج الفئران لتحريض التهاب اللثة عن طريق مزيج من الرباط المحتجز والحقن المتكرر من عديد السكاريد الدهني المشتق من Porphyromonas gingivalis ، على مدار 14 يوما حول الأضراس الفكية الأولى. كانت تقنيات الربط وحقن LPS فعالة في إحداث التهاب القلفة ، مما أدى إلى فقدان العظم السنخي والالتهاب.
