The thickness of gold dendritic nanoforests increases linearly within 15 min of a synthesis reaction. Engineering Well-aligned Vertically Oriented ZnO Nanorod Arrays and their Application in Inverted Small Molecule Solar Cells Ming-Yi Lin1, Shang-Hsuan Wu2, Li-Jen Hsiao3, Widhya Budiawan2, Shih-Lun Chen4, Wei-Chen Tu4, Chia-Yen Lee1, Yia-Chung Chang2, Chih-Wei Chu2 1Department of Electrical Engineering, National United University, 2Research Center of Applied Science, Academia Sinica, 3Department of Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics, National Taiwan University, 4Department of Electronic Engineering, Chung Yuan Christian University This manuscript describes how to design and fabricate efficient inverted SMPV1:PC71BM solar cells with ZnO nanorods (NRs) grown on a high quality Al-doped ZnO (AZO) seed layer. The well-aligned vertically oriented ZnO NRs exhibit high crystalline properties. The power conversion efficiency of solar cells can reach 6.01%. Engineering A High Performance Impedance-based Platform for Evaporation Rate Detection Wei-Lung Chou1, Pee-Yew Lee2, Cheng-You Chen2, Yu-Hsin Lin3, Yung-Sheng Lin4 1Department of Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering, Hungkuang University, 2Institute of Materials Engineering, National Taiwan Ocean University, 3Instrument Technology Research Center, National Applied Research Laboratories, 4Department of Chemical Engineering, National United University This paper presents an impedance-based apparatus for evaporation rate detection of solutions. It offers clear advantages over a conventional weight loss approach: a fast response, high-sensitivity detection, a small sample requirement, multiple sample measurements, and easy disassembly for cleaning and reuse purposes.
