Fibrine matrices bevattende groeifactoren zijn gebruikt om geënte neurale stamcellen behouden in locaties volledig ruggenmerg doorsnijding. Geënte cellen volledig gevuld de laesie holte en gedifferentieerd in meerdere neurale celtypes, waaronder neuronen die axons verlengd gastheer ruggenmerg over lange afstanden.
