Laser microdissection werd toegepast op de gen expressie profilering te analyseren in specifieke compartimenten van Drosophila vleugel schijf onderworpen aan een gelokaliseerde RNAi<em> In vivo</em>. RNA geëxtraheerd uit gelijkwaardige gebieden van zwijgen en unsilenced compartimenten werd geanalyseerd door kwantitatieve RT-PCR vergelijkende gen expressie profilering vast te stellen in het kader van inheemse weefsel microecology.
