Beschrijven we een simpele immunoassay om de productie van pro-inflammatoire cytokines, zoals IL-1 bèta productie, bij patiënten met autoinflammatory fenotypes te meten. Door het activeren van cellen in volbloed culturen met pathogeen-geassocieerde moleculaire patronen, in het bijzonder met lipopolysaccharide, kan cytokine secretie gemakkelijk worden geëvalueerd in volbloed supernatants.
