Lytisk phage biosensorer og antistoffkuler er i stand til å diskriminere mellom meticillinresistent (MRSA) og sensitive Staphylococcus bakterier. De phages ble immobilisert ved en Langmuir-Blodgett metoden på en overflate av en kvartskrystall mikrovekt sensor og jobbet så bredt spekter Staphylococcus sonder. Antistoffkuler gjenkjenne MRSA.
