Bu protokol serebral emboli görselleştirmek için kombine yakın kızılötesi floresan (NIRF) görüntüleme ve mikro-bilgisayarlı tomografi (mikroBT) uygulanmasını açıklar. Bu teknik trombüs yükü ve evrim ölçümü sağlar. MikroBT'lerin tekniği altın nanopartiküller kullanarak canlı hayvan içinde trombüs görüntüler ise NIRF görüntüleme tekniği floresan, eksize beyinde trombüs etiketli görselleştirir.
