Den etablerede model af transuretral kateterisation af mus giver mulighed for undersøgelse af blæren patologier, herunder urinvejsinfektion, men kan kun udføres i hunner. En ny model for mandlige transuretral instillation, præsenteres her, vil gøre forskning i et område præget af stærk kliniske og epidemiologiske forskelle mellem kønnene.
