Formålet med denne undersøgelse var at udvikle en murine model af brænde sårheling. En termisk brænde blev induceret på brystskind af mus ved hjælp af en forvarmet messing skabelon. Brændt væv blev debrideret og overlejret med en hudtransplantation høstet fra halen af en genetisk lignende donormus.
