Massaspectrometrische karakterisering van neuropeptiden biedt sequentie-, kwantificerings- en lokalisatie-informatie. Deze geoptimaliseerde workflow is niet alleen nuttig voor neuropeptidestudies, maar ook voor andere endogene peptiden. De protocollen die hier worden verstrekt, beschrijven monstervoorbereiding, MS-acquisitie, MS-analyse en databasegeneratie van neuropeptiden met behulp van LC-ESI-MS, MALDI-MS-spotting en MALDI-MS-beeldvorming.
