Demyelinisatie vindt plaats bij meerdere ziekten van het centrale zenuwstelsel. Een betrouwbare in vivo medicijnafgiftetechniek is noodzakelijk voor het remyeliniseren van drugstests. Dit protocol beschrijft een op osmotische pomp gebaseerde methode die langdurige medicijnafgifte rechtstreeks in het hersenparenchym mogelijk maakt en de biologische beschikbaarheid van het geneesmiddel verbetert, met brede toepassing in remyelinisatieonderzoek.
